We broken our dogs fence when we had some trees removed. Super easy fix and works!These were perfect for sealing the connections on my underground dog fence perimeter wire. I choose to solder each connection versus using a wire nut. You can certainly use the included wire nut says there's plenty of dielectric grease in these containers to seal over that. Hopefully I won't need to purchase again but if I do I would purchase these.They work well and do what they are supposed to. Just be aware that there is a very strong odor when you open the bag.I had specifically ordered yellow to facilitate finding them in the grass at a later time. Now I will mark the location of each splice that I use with survey/landscape flags. They are easy enough to use. Twist the wires and install the wire nut. Push the nut all the way to the bottom of the splice, then move the nut back a forth a few times to fill the open end of the nut with the silicon. Push the nut all the way to the bottom. The last step is to backfill the splice with the remaining/residual silicon pushing it down into the splice. There are times that I add additional silicon to fill the back space before snapping the lid closed.Our petsafe invisible fence got pulled up and snapped while plowing the driveway. These worked perfectly to reattach the broken wire. Easy to use and worked first try.These were quite larger than I was expecting I ended up returning them because I could not use them.Have had to fix and replace dog fence wire multiple times this year. These are perfect and work great.I only needed one of these to splice two wires together, but the electricity is live throughout the length of the fence. It sits under an awning, so it's not directly exposed to the elements, but it's been outside for 6+ months and the fence still works.I had my wires spliced and buried in no time. These were used for my PetSafe wired underground pet fence. Very easy to use even without directions.
