This is pretty soft but the shape is a little curious--it isn't quite flat or a doughnut or a lounger bed (the three usual styles), so my dog seems not to be able to get comfortable in it. Actually, he lays on the ground and uses it as a pillow. When he does use it, he lays in it like he would on the floor to chew a treat or something. He also gets hot in this bed--will be fine and then start panting. I think he may like this better when the weather cools down--I don't know; I didn't ask him. If the bed is BIGGER than your dog, I think he/she will have no problem using it. If the bed is fairly proportional to your dog, he may also be confused with the in-between shape. It is VERY soft and great quality, however.It's pretty soft and durable and large enough for a 23lb Shiba Inu. I haven't washed it yet as it's barely a week old so I cannot tell you how it survives a wash/dry cycle but I'll follow up in a couple of months with more. The sides do collapse a bit due to shipping but with a bit of maneuvering, can readjust to its proper shape ( I put the bed inside of his crate for a day and that held up the sides long enough to take shape). For its price, it's a pretty good bed to start off withI have a cavalier king charles and he bearly fts in the bed he is 22 pounds and definitively way to small. I decided to buy this based on reviews because other buyer mention his 30 pound dog fitted perctly .... Well mine doesnt. Definitively i need a bigger size.Also from the picture it looks like it is thicker than what it acruwlly is, i also find the bottom part slippery or maybe it is just because this bed is smallMy dogs argued over who would get to sleep on it first and kind of ended up sleeping on top of each other! It fit our kennel perfectly! Once it got dingy, it was easily washed in the washing machine and didn't lose its shape at all! The material is fluffy and very comfortable for our senior canine. All the crate beds we've bought for our babies over the years have eventually lost their shape after several months of them roughing it up trying to get comfortable at night, but this one is already comfortable so they don't have to improve it! Our dogs put themselves in their beds even before bedtime!Much smaller than expected. I would send it back but my dog is already attached to it., even though she barely fits in it. I have a 50lb English Springer and the dimensions are almost the same as her "real" bed she uses at night. I bought this one for my home office thinking it would be ok, but wish they had a bigger one. The next size up probably would have been perfect.I was very disappointed in this bed. The bottom of this bed is slippery so it sounds weird when it slides on the carpet. It is not as soft and plush as I had hoped it to be. It is very thin and does not have much in the way of padding or support. The sides of the bed do not stay up and most mornings when I get up the sides are flat on the floor even though my dog is not on them. I got this bed as it looks quite soft and plush and while it is soft it is not plush. My dog also does not like it as she likes a soft bed and this is not.I would have liked it better if it had higher sides, and the sides were at the same height all the way around, because my dog likes to lie with her head on the side or with her back snuggled up against it, but she seems to like it, so that's what matters most. The bottom is nice and cushy, it seems well made, and it looks nice.Perfect pet bed for a puppy without spending a fortune. It has held up to the standard puppy abuse quite well; chewing, scratching, lounging. Probably due for an upgrade soon, but this is still in tact and holding up nicely.
