I ordered this along with another style for my Boston-Rat Terrier mix. She has very short hair, and is always cold starting in the Fall. The other style fit perfectly, but this one has an awkward neck line. It is actually a little too small and tight for her (she weighs 24 lbs and I did measure her). I then tried it on the Pug who is smaller in size and weighs 20 lbs. Pugs have no neck, so the neck on the sweater caused her to have a bunch of skin push up toward her head. It is like a turtle neck with very little stretch or give. I then tried it on our Papillion mix who has a much smaller frame and neck. It fit perfectly on her, but she is a rescue who has never worn a sweater, so she wasn't very fond of it. I kept it because it will be good in a pinch, but it is not one that I use every day for our dog pack. If you order, I would size up based n my experience.This is a nice dog sweater for the amount we paid for it. Our dog had worn it daily, we’ve washed and dried it twice, and we still love it.This is a soft, warm, cute and well made sweater. The 2 sweaters I ordered are vastly different in size though. One or the other should fit my French bulldog (19 pounds). But, the large is too big and the medium is too small. The packaging says medium and the other says large but you can see the difference for yourself. The sweater is nice enough that I am going to try to order them again. Originally I ordered them separately. I’m hoping it’s just a packaging error. It happens. Thus, 4 stars instead of 5.Was a bit bigger than expected but still worksOrdering online, I was nervous the sweaters would not be as nice as pictured and was really unsure about the fit. Some reviewers said fit well, some not. I ordered (2) sweaters in size XL for my med. fat dog (60 lbs.) and my old worn-out yellow lab (bigger frame, but thin - maybe 80/90 lbs.??) The sweaters fit them both like a dream! And, the quality is fabulous - thick, nice cable-knit, warm. I would wear a sweater this nice! They are also easy to get on and off. For reference, my med. very round dog measured about 21" around the neck and 31-32" around his chest. Delivery was fast, and I could not be happier with this purchase. :)Yes it is a very nice sweater; but I got the XL based on the measurements. Way too big. I won't send it back because it is too nice. I will give it to someone with a bigger dog. Meanwhile, I just placed an order for another that is L only. If it is too large I will go through this process again. Believe me, for the price they can't be beat. I have spent too many hours trying to find the ideal sweater for my kids; and I'm not going to let these disappear. I like them a bit oversize but this was just too big.The turtle neck isn't as oversized as in the product photos which was disappointing. It's still cute though. I ordered a medium for my chihuahua mix but it's too long and fits my tall and lengthy yorkie mix nicely instead. While the thickness isn't quite as expected it will provide enough warmth for our SoCal weather. The stretch is typical for a sweater. Nothing too drastic but it does have some give.This is a very nice sweater and fits my dog perfectly. Easy to put on also, as it has a nice stretch to it. And he is so warm with it. Perfect for these cold Autumn mornings.
