WE LOVE DOGS Our mission: to produce beds that pass our Quality of Life Test: beds contributing to your dog’s health, happiness, wellbeing & that help your dog to live their best life. Our design keeps your dog’s joints young for longer. Pet guardians credit The Dog’s Bed Orthopedic with restoring their dog’s mobility, vitality & helping them to sleep soundly. Our heat-sensitive mattress supports your dog’s skeletal system, its correct alignment & protects their delicate joints. A design that appeals to your dog’s nesting instinct. If your dog paws at their bed or curls up when they sleep, they’ll prefer a bed with bolsters as it makes them feel less vulnerable. Curling up is not only a way to retain heat or get comfortable - it's a tactic your dog's wild ancestors used to shield their organs from predators. A bed with sides helps to satisfy this aspect of your dog’s nesting instinct and makes them feel secure. Quality is the keystone of our brand. To meet our high-quality standards & yours, we use premium materials to produce our bed. Quality is verified by 2 international third-party companies, experts in inspection, testing, verification & certification. The Dog’s Bed Orthopedic is for young dogs too. Getting your dog our bed early on is an excellent preventative measure to keep their joints youthful for longer. Many breeds are predisposed to conditions such as arthritis, making their senior years painful. The Dog’s Bed Orthopedic has been designed to be long-lasting. In normal use your dog will be able to keep this bed for a long time, so we produce replacement covers for it at a fraction of the cost of replacing the whole bed. Easy-clean vs plush covers? The easy-clean cover is for dogs who shed/drool or recovering from surgery & is easy to vacuum/wipe clean. The plush cover is like a soft blanket.

It was so flat when I first opened it but it expanded nicely. It’s so big my German Shepard Rottweiler mix looks small on it. But he has plenty of space to stretch out. I got XL. I got the harder material because he gets hot so easily and it’s nice and cool.I bought this bed after the dog destroyed at least 6 others. For over a year it’s her day and night go to. She has attempted digging on it without a scratch. It’s easy to spot vacuum and does not smell. It’s supportive for our senior lady 65 lbsAs long as the dog sleeps in it and can’t chew it up it’s a win-win for us. He loves his bed it is durable it is easy to keep clean I wouldn’t say it’s soft it’s firm and like I said the dog loves it. For us it was a great buy!I've purchased 3 XL beds from Dog's Balls this year. Prior to purchasing the first one, I did a lot of "window shopping". This bed had reasonable reviews and was affordably priced. I needed one for my 8 year old, arthritic, 132 pound Newfoundland. The bed arrived within three business days. It filled out and fluffed up as advertised. Another benefit was there was no odor. So far, so good.Bed time came, Maudie One Sock got on the bed, slept 8 uninterrupted hours. When she woke up there was far less stiffness in her hind legs as she arose and climbed out of bed. Excellent! This is her bed of choice every time. Two months after purchasing the first bed, it was time to buy another for two puppy Newfoundlands to share. Our experience was the same with the 2nd bed as with the first. I wrote the company to let them know we had two beds that were working very well for our girls and that we would need a third shortly. Faye wrote back immediately thanking us for our purchases. Our third bed arrived a few days ago. Newfoundland's grow quickly and the two pups were unable to adequately share their bed anymore. We placed the third bed on our bed to fluff up and fill out. Bizzy leaped 37" from the floor to the center of her bed on our bed, circled around, laid her head on the bolster and smiled at us. Her very own bed! Now I am surrounded by three snoring Newf's, in their own beds. Everyone is happy.Cleaning: These beds do spot clean well. This is important as our Newf's drool--even in their sleep. The covers also wash and dry very well. I didn't have an issue getting Maudie's mattress out of the cover. The foam was properly encased in a zippered waterproof mattress cover that washed like a dream along with the brown cover. Getting the bolster filling back in wasn't difficult. The bolster filling is generous. I stuffed and stuffed. The final result looked like it did when the bed was brand new. Furniture manufactures could learn a thing or two from this company.Durability: My girls are long, tall and heavy. They circle around, scratch around, put their heads, legs and hind quarters on the bolsters. I had concerns the beds wouldn't hold up to this. However, Maudie's bed at 11 months is the same thickness as it was when we purchased it and her bolsters are full and thick. No compression wear was visible and when I put the tape measure to it, the thickness was the same all around. The zippers are substantial and work well. The covering still looks really good. I do place lap top quilts on top of all three beds and wash the quilts weekly.Summary: The beds are as advertised and 11 months later the first purchase looks the same as new. They are durable, washable, comfortable according to our girls. Faye, the company representative I've dealt with has been a dream. She knows the girls names, has written to find out if all is well with the beds. Delivery was quick for us and packing was exactly right. This is a company will stay with, though if the durability holds we might not need new beds again.I was advised by a previous customer to buy a size large for my Plott Hound that will grow to be 50-60 pounds; however, I’m thinking I maybe should’ve gone with an XL as the large seems like it may end up being a bit too small. I attempted to email The Dog’s Balls before my purchase to see what they would recommend, but the email on their site was invalid. In my opinion there should really be a size chart available that corresponds with dog weights to assist the customer in making an informed and accurate purchase. This bed is too expensive to not be fully satisfied. With that being said, the quality is fantastic and my pup seems to love it. I placed it in the sun and within 30 minutes she’s already lying on it taking a nap.Our puppy has been unable to chew it. Very well made.I ordered the XL/Jumbo so both my dogs could fit on it. After reading all the reviews, I determined that would work for them and I was right. My two dogs are 50 and 60 pounds. The bed comes vacuum sealed and it puffed up right away, almost! It seems really well made and I like the material because I have two major shedders and I don’t think hair will stick to it very well. By now you’re probably wondering, why only two stars...? Well...the words are embroidered upside down (see picture), which definitely isn’t a functional problem...but I think for the price (and my sanity) the words ought to be correct. I’ve reached out to the seller, so if they reply with a satisfactory resolution I’ll gladly update this review and the star-count. Because the bed seems great, but those words are too trippy for me!**UPDATE 4/27/18** The seller contacted me back very quickly and offered to send a replacement cover, but the cover in the picture is on backorder with no lead time :-/ so she would be able to send me a fluffy brown cover. As I mentioned in my original review of the product, I selected it because I need a cover that my shedding dogs couldn’t get hair stuck to, so that wasn’t a solution for me. Also...Brown... Therefore, my only option was to return the now-fully-inflated dog bed and re-order it through Amazon. The seller assured me that the embroidery should be fine as they are each individually embroidered and she was pleased to have my picture to show the factory for quality purposes. She seemed as bothered as me about the upside down words. All in all, I only added one more star, for a total of 3 stars, because you try packing up this bed once it’s fully expanded and tell me how easy you think it is. The new bed arrived (embroidery right side up), Amazon refunded me for the returned bed promptly, and it’s still a really decent bed. Ruby and Daphne love it! But I can’t increase the stars to 4 or 5 because now I’m wary about whether or not I’d be able to purchase another cover if I needed to.**Another update** The seller sent us some complimentary balls and Ruby and Daphne are quite pleased. Since they are committed to customer satisfaction, I’m giving them another star for a total of 4. This would be a 5-Star purchase if I wasn’t so worried about not being able to replace the cover (since that was a selling point for me).Very comfortable! I bought an XXL for my 150 pound mastiff and she fits perfectly. We also bought a Large one for our 75 pound pitbull and it’s smaller then we expected but he loves it! We let the beds sit out for a day before letting the dogs lay on it and that seemed to allow the foam to rise.Lovely product, arrived very quick well made. Bought for our 16 year old with two titanium hips she's had for 14 years, she's fussy and likes her comfort and hasn't been out of it much since Friday. ? Bought a medium, worth every penny! Less stumbling getting into with the open front. Just wish had bought one soonerAlthough a little reluctant at first, our Saluki X now adores his bed. We bought the larger size and the one with cushions, we are glad we did, as he uses the edging a lot and he can stretch out in a variety of poses! We bought it to help him recuperate from hip surgery and although wasn't cheap, and it takes up a lot of our lounge, for him it was worth it. Only down side is that bits of dirt, food etc get easily stuck in the plush top which I have to pull out as don't come out in the wash, for that reason it gets 4 and not 5 stars.Very happy with this product and my 7 year old lab loves it, it’s hard to get him off. Very sturdy and so comfy, looks lovely too. Just need a bit of help please as we got the bed last Monday (a week ago) and since Thursday my dog has been itching an awful lot, on all the areas where skin is more exposed and makes contact with the bed. We’ve given him a bath but has made no difference. It may be completely unrelated but we’re baffled, he’s completely up to date on jabs/flea treatment etc. Just wondered if the cover or memory foam is treated with anything that could cause irritation? Or if you’ve had any similar issues in the past? Look forward to your response, many thanks. LisaBought the product for my arthritic Labrador. I bought a large one because the photo showed a Lab on one for this size and some of the comments said it was OK for a Lab. Butit is too small and Ava just can’t seem to get comfortable on it. She keeps returning to her thinner bed! I am disappointed because it was an expensive product.Great service, amazed at how thick the base became after being vacum packed, the sides are really solid so dont collapse. All 3 of our greyhounds take it in turns but especially our elderly girl who adores it. Really great quality so glad we made the purchase as we have had expensive beds in the past and they have never been as good as this.
