I really do like these shoes and purposefully purchased a size up. They were big for me but I knew they would be since I was buying up a size. If you purchase your size, expect that they will be pretty true to size. I knew I would need either arch support or heavy socks, as I only wear boots in the winter, after all. The lack of arch support is not a deal breaker, as it's not that uncomfortable and they are flat shoes, unlike a wedge where lack of cushion can be painful. Instead I wore thick sock with these. If I wanted them under jeans, I used the sock to hold the flaps tight to my calves and was able to pull the jeans over them with no issue!I do have thicker calves, so I don't think they looked as good as they did on some others, but overall they're very cute and I do like that they are looser than most boots around the calf. It's a very specific look and one that is very "in" for winter months. They are extremely flattering from the side view and look great with socks and a skirt. Plus, there isn't a heel, so they're rather nice for walking around in.One thing is I wish they had better rubber grips on the bottom as if it rains, snows, or frosts, these are not my go-to compared to other boots. I feel like it would be an easy, simple change and give them more wear time in the winter. Plus, they were $20.00 cheaper on Amazon than my local shoe store for the same exact shoe and Prime shipping! Keep your eyes out for when the price is right, as sometimes they go out of stock and you have to wait for them to go Prime again.
